I am not going to have a large Introduction. So let’s get to the point:
Main ways to make money through a event:
- Sell tickets
- Sell people advertisement/ get sponsored
- Sell food and drinks
- sell Novelty gifts
- Sell actual product like if your in a fashion show sell the clothes!
The best and most fun way to sell clothes is through an auction if you are selling for charity the sales could rocket through the roof so maybe you might want to consider having a product that is to go to charity therefore it might get people in the mood for an auction!
Selling tickets is an obvious technique and I do not need to explain that but as for sponsor then that’s even better. All you need to simply do is get sponsors to cover the following things:
- Sponsors to feature on the tickets
- On posters
- On flyers
- In general advertise them on the night
You could make serious money just through the sponsors alone. When you sell novelty gifts I just simply mean cheap products that people will buy for a pound or under such as if it were a fashion show then buy bracelets and keyring etc.
But a main thing that you need to consider is advertisement and you can design all your own advertisement which is such a great thing to design. You could really have great fun designing them and they don’t really need to be that good for the simple reason you will have the same passion as everyone who will attend your events!
