I agree plus I like the way you've told the story and made your point. Most people can relate to Ms. SB.

It is important for small business owners to know not only when to delegate but also to whom you should trust with "your baby".

Wives and friends are handy and (most) do not require an appointment to get an opinion or advice. Those who are just starting out often find that questions come to them while in the middle of a project (time crunch) or in the dead of night.

I like the way you described the guy thinking of how to get a logo. I agree.

Most of the time, the biggest mistake for small businesses is to make business decisions on a personal level and without real knowledge in marketing. They pick what they like themselves but they forget they're not getting a logo to put it on the wall of their bedroom. They forget that the ultimate purpose of a logo is to represent their business faithfully and stand out. But instead of asking to a marketing person they just consult their wives. Nothing wrong with wives but I would rather put my business first in hands of a professional.
